I just wanted to say this:

I am completely disappointed with our state and ferderal governments right now. They should have every soldier at their disposal on the ground, with or without supplies.

These our or citizens, and hoenstly, they are getting treated like sh!t.

Every firefighter, every police officer, and every coast guard enlistee should be ther right now.

There is simply no excuse for what we are all witnessing.

We are the most powerful nation on earth, with resources that boggle the mind, with personal that are the absolute best that humanity has EVER had, and yet countless numbers of our people, citizens of the United State of America, are dying alone like animals on our own soil.

Where the fvk is kentucky. Where the fvk is tennesse. where the fvk is pat robertson.

somehow, I feel that we are simply cowering in astonishment at the distruction and not acting. Countless numbers of volunteers are on their way right now, facing certain peril, even death, at the hands of anarchaic survivors, because no one else will. They are the only shrewd of decency that this nation has today.

This is a fvking disgrace. after all this is over everyone at the top needs to be fired.

just fvking....I really can't continue to put it into words....just a fvking disgrace

EDIT:

I realize that I am being unresonable....I am just pissed at mother nature right now.....we got owned big time.

So let's forget about the thousands upon thousands of National Guard guys that are there already...with thousands more coming..

From what I am reading and hearing... the military and national guard are doing wonderful things there... as well, as FEMA and the charity organizations... with more to follow.

I am hearing/reading that the problem is with a total breakdown of state leadership. No one is really taking charge or command.

kinda like too any indians and absolutely no chiefs.

Where is FEMA in the superdome? Where is the National Guard inside?

People are dying in there. Whatever they have there ( I know they have a lot) it isn't enough.

Goosemaster's been watching too much CNN

I think it's a state problem. Can't expect a federal response in less than a week.

I'm asking this question sincerely -- what were these people still doing in the city when they heard a hurricane was coming?

I truly want to know the reasons they did not evacuate.

Yeah, but in a week countless numbers will be dead. I realize that they take a long time, but even Texas has opened up their arms, costs be damned (governor has no idea how they will pay for it) and no one else.

Yeah, I have been watching a little too much CNN.

<---never ever watches CNN.

Of course it would, a national state of emergency would have been declared, the entire nation would have been excused from work to head to this affluent city to help out all because it was a white affluent city.:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:

Truly, it was an issue of income bracket rather than race. Race is only a factor out of coincidence rather than intent.

Regardless, it is awful down there:(

Don't jump the gun on that one....these people feel abandoned and they are lower class.

The looking of material pocessions is simply unforgivable and by no means unwarranted, but these people are dying.

Yeah and most everyone would have left the area before the hurricane instead of ignoring the warnings...
