Does it seem, to anyone else, that a number of members(Delusion2001 😉 ) post basically everything they can, from questions regarding A-Z to comments, etc. just so that they can increase rank faster? In that case, how much does rank really mean? I could post trivial small things all day and get up there faster, but do I deserve the title? Obviously the higher titles are more difficult to receive this way, but still.. *shrug*

It's not something that you should really be bothered with. Do your own thing and don't worry about the trivial issues. 😉

Rank doesn't mean all that much here, each person develops their reputation regardless of their rank.

Just because he beats you to diamond doesn't mean he's better respected than you are.

It's not that I'm really worried about it, just found that it kinda tries to defeat the purpose in titles. *shrug*

Viper hit the nail on the head. Try not to let it bother you, it's just one of those things.

Along similar lines you have the 1-10 scale member ranking where members can rank other members. Those usually don't mean a whole lot, some people will randomly give posters a 1 just to lower their rank. Rank definately isn't a good marker for how respected a member is here.

I have like 4 or 5 posts a day, but they are decent posts! Like this one, right? Some of my posts are really long....sometimes I tell a whole story. I never have a useless post unless it's a &quot;bump&quot; to bump my own for sale / trade thread.

But ya, TheVrolok, I kinda don't like it either. But like other people said, I don't let it bother me.

Diamond is a rank that everyone can reach sooner or later while an elite member is voted on by other members. Every once in a while you will see a thread called &quot;vote for elite members&quot; or something of that nature.
