Can't chalk up everything to Superbowl wins. Championships are not a good way to determine the value of an individual player...though that doesn't stop people from doing it all the time. Maybe a little bit with QBs...and moreso with NBA stars because NBA teams are much smaller.

Yeah it's true...Patriots defense lost the superbowl and last I checked defense is a part of the game so the Pats lost fair n square that year. We're really treading back through time now, though :p

And if not for the Giants defense beating the crap out of Brady and the Patriots offensive line, he would've had one too. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

Well, at least they went down fighting...unlike another team who laid it down the final two games (and "settle" for 14-2) to "rest their players" only to put up a '09 2nd half Patriots team performance in the superbowl. As much as they beat the Pats down, at least the game was close.

Ouch, I must have hit a nerve. Why do you keep bringing up the Colts resting their starters? I complained about them doing it too, as did 95% of the city, so you're preaching to the choir.

The "coulda, woulda, shoulda" stuff is ridiculous. The Colts were rolling the Saints big time in the first quarter. If they "coulda" kept it up, they "woulda" won. See how silly that is?

Well the vikes got scrwed in the OT against the aint's MN was clearly the better team . But in regulation they gave up the ball 5 times. So they played even with those 5 turn overs and really bad calls by zebras in Ot and many none calls by zebras in regulation . The NFL tried to cover up the fixed game with rule changes this year. ALL FACTS!

A couple of interesting rumors being talked about on Boston sports radio.

1) Apparently Deion Branch is sitting down with Seahawks' ownership to discuss his future. There have been rumors the Patriots have approached them to discuss a trade.

2) Another rumor was that the Patriots shopped a Logan Mankins for Vincent Jackson deal, though Mankins' agent denies it. Not that it matters because the Chargers reportedly only will trade Jackson in-conference for a 1st and 2nd rounder in next year's draft (NFC teams get a slight discount, only a 2nd and 3rd rounder). Kind of ludicrous demands when Moss gets traded for a 3rd rounder and Boldin went last offseason for a 3rd and 4th rounder.

Having Branch back would be interesting, though is he the same receiver? I haven't watched him much since he went to Seattle.

He's too old. If you are expecting the old Branch, think again.
