Random Stability Problems

I recently built a new computer. Its an AthlonXP 1700+ (not overclocked), Asus A7V266-E w/RAID, 512MB PC2100 (2x256 DIMMS), (1) IBM 80GB 120GXP HDD, GeForce2MX 32MB AGP, C-Media 6ch. onboard audio, stock Coolermaster CPU Cooler (AMD Approved), 3Com 3c905b NIC. I built it in a Antec SX1030B case with an Antec AMD Recommended PSU and I added the additional case fans (total of 4, not including PSU fan) for additional cooling, because I know how Athlons run very hot. Im running Win2k Pro SP2 with all the lastest device drivers and critical updates (including VIA 4in1 and Detonator drivers). When im using my machine it will freeze randomly, but it always does it the same way. The system will hang (not the mouse cursor) and it will beep once from the pc speaker about 5 seconds later. After that beep the system halts (including the mouse cursor) and wont respond to any commands, even a warm boot (Ctrl-Alt-Del). I have to push the reset button on the front of the case to reset it. Its very random, sometimes it will happen very quickly after I power the machine up, and sometimes it wont happen for hours or even days when Im lucky. Its happened ever since I got the new rig and Ive even swapped out the motherboard. I have a nice program that stresses RAM to test it, but all 512MB and all the cache on my CPU went through 50 loops with flying colors. Ive been a level 2 technician in a computer service dept. for almost 3yrs now, but have not seen a problem like this before. If anyone has any ideas your input would be appreciated. This is very frustrating

What kind of temps are you getting? For example case and CPU temps.

Well Im pretty sure their within normal ranges. CPU Temp, 38C at startup and 45C after a heavy load. Case Temp 20C at startup, 23C after a heavy load.
