I hardly ever go to websites or download things on my computer, and today
while I was playing Star Wars Galaxies, my computer restarted. I figured it was a windows update so I went to the website and downloaded everything so there
were no updates left. Then about an hour later it happened again while playing. It then happened every 15 minutes and so far its been about 6 times. I checked the CPU, MB, and system temp all times and its always at 30c. I scanned for viruses and all it could find is cookies. Ive been playing that game on my computer for over 3 months now. Whats the problem?

it has nothing to do with the power supply, i realize that the restarts always come when the game finishes loading and appears. I think its a graphics overload or something

It could very well be the ram. Run a test on it with memtest, and make sure you get no errors. I would definitely not rule out the possibility of having a bad PSU as well. Buy another psu, decent name brand one or just something that's pretty heavy, and at least give that a shot.

My brother had the same problem. He bought a Antec true power 480 and that corrected the problem. He was running the PSU that came with the case. Smartpower I think was the crap brand that came with the case

Take a look at this thread. I am in the middle of troubleshooting why my machine has random restarts. Mine has doen it about 1 every 1 - 2 weeks since early January.
