Happens when I play a game, don't play a games, let my computer just sit there, or when I watch a movie. It would make a strange sound, and all the sudden just restart automatically starting from POST. I've had this computer for 2 years and never had this sort of problem. Also when I play some games it would just crash out to desktop automatically.

I suspect a HD I/O failure? Please advise ><

first, make sure you have 'automatically restart' uncheck under system failure under startup & recovery. make sure it isn't blue screening. if it's anything like my old problem, then i'd say you're right with the hdd. it could be a number of things though. may be your PSU, memory, etc. do the basic housekeeping for troubleshooting. run memtest on it, try it with bare minimum you need to run it; take out all your expansion cards, extra drives, etc and play a game.

If the noises you are hearing are random and strange clicks and grinds (or similar), then I'd say hard disk, yes. Get the manufacturer's diagnostic utilities from their respective websites, and run some tests on it.
