Random restarts during start up.

Once I start up the computer, it will randomly restart itself. Sometimes I'll get to the Desktop for a few moments, then it restarts. Other times It'll only get onto the "Loading user" screen. I just reinstalled Windows XP and it had some troubles installing it but I made it through. After all was installed, I had to restart the computer to finish the installation of a few needed programs. It then got up to the desktop to where I started to run my Anti-virus software and it just reset. Any clue on what's wrong?
 
I've noticed your posts in different forums and lastly looking for a case. I have not seen your specs or any indicators that would cause me to run out for parts just yet. What is your system and what are your temps? How have you decided that a new case will solve you're problem?
