Random Reset

So I just moved home a couple days ago from school and my bro was trying to reset up the network since I could not get the cable to run in my room. After a few hours of fiddling around and him resetting the router and modem and fussing w/ the setups, he comes to the conclusion that the line in the walls are faulty between him and the master's breaker room which splits the connections to the rest of the house. As a solution, he got me a wireless nic. The problem is, my computer as well as my sister's laptop would be able to connect to the network, yet we will be kicked off every 10-15min. All of a sudden the computer would say that windows are unable to connect to all the available networks blahblahblah. Any ideas/suggestions on what i could do to switch back to ethernet, or something that may have been missed while setting up the wireless?

the wireless router is a Linksys, as well as the regular router and the cablemodem. My wireless nic is also a linksys which was a breeze to install btw.
Thanx for any feedback guys
