ok so I overclocked my micron pc100 cas 2 ram to 105 (not much of an overclock but it didnt like the 110 or 115). Now sometimes I have random reboots. Like tonight I am running winamp and i right click on my computer and computer restarts. Is this happening because my ram is OCed?

Athlon 900 Slot A
Gigabyte GA-7ixe
512 PC100 Micron CL2

Log in as administrator and right click my computer. You might even want to do this in safe mode. Then go to Advanced, and hit startup and recovery. Uncheck automatically reboot.

Usually a thorugh scandisk will solve the problem. You might even want to go to [l]http://windowsupdate.com[/l] and get the latest updates.

Since Windows 2000 is set by default to dump System memory into a Dump file in C:\winnt, and you said you never played with those advanced settings, I think windows is running into a problem with well, your ram. Check your event log. If you see something like a Parody Error, you know its your ram. Try disabling memory dump when a system error occurs.
