Whenever i'm playing albatross18 or occasionally with windows media player my computer will just randomly shut down and start back up. the screen goes black, no warning or anything. i don't even know where to begin looking for the problem, I tried reinstalling windows and that didn't work, i've looked through the windows error logs and that hasn't shown up anything that i can see as being the problem. anybody have any suggestions on what to look for? thanks.
 
my system:
core 2 duo 6300
2x1gb OCZ pc800 DDR2
AW9D-MAX motherboard
ati x1800XT 512mb graphics card
creative audigy2 platinum
 
check the power output of your PSU, and the amps on the 12 volt rail.
Sounds like a power issue.
Also make sure you are plugged into a steady power supply (ie. not sharing with too many other things).
IF that doesn't work, make sure your drivers are playing nice- I've heard some bad things about creative's drivers and ATI/Nvidia video drivers.
