random reboots pls help!

Hi i'm having problems with my new machine, it is experiencing random reboots.

the system is:
8kha+ with 1/8 bios
2x crucual ddr
maxtor 30 gig
imb 40 gig
pioneer dvd
sony 16xcdrw
amd xp 1700
antec 1030sw (comes with enermax 330watt)
some have told me it is a power supply problem, but i tried disconnecting both my cd rom drives and starting the computer that way, and it still reboots by itself. what should i do? btw this happend when ihad my ecs k7s5a also.

Well if it happened with your old motherboard as well...I would have to agree with the PSU problem. It may not be that you're overloading it, but more likely that it is just failing. Are you getting any error messages when it reboots (like a blue screen?)?

What OS are you using, winXP by any chance?
That may be a BSOD, winXP is configured by default to reboot is BSOD occurs.

I have heard the EPoX 8KHA+ and Enermax PSUs don't play nice together.

If it were the memory he should get an IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL blue screen error.

Maybe, it depends on what OS he is using.... by default, Win2K/XP is setup to reboot on errors and never display BSOD or any errors message...

You can enable BSOD action by going to Control Panel->System->Advanced->Startup and Recovery

Scootin...mine has done 4 reboots and in addition has done 2 BSOD/memory dumps....question on memory dump...let it go to whatever number it counts up to or?

i'm using win xp... i'll try swapping out the ram sticks because i dont want to spring for a $$$ power supply just yet

This issue is addressed with the latest BIOS from Epox as far as I Know. Go to www.amdmb.com for further information

i have the newest bios.. just flashed it yesterday. Anyways i get the driver irq is not less then equal blue screen.. so is it my memory?

Make sure you update the via drivers to the latest. The older one cause some problems with XP. It has fixed rebooting issues for me on 3 boxes now.
