Ok so this is the first computer that I've built and am very happy with it so far but I'm having a few issues. I have win2k installed and it keeps crashing. I will get a kernel trap error or a nv4....dll something error (I think video card) or it will just freeze. I have 2k on a laptop and it has never given me any trouble.
Also, I have my hd installed on my promise raid controller as a single drive and when I get one of these crashes, it sometimes will reboot and find no installed hd! Any help that you guys can provide would be great. I'm getting pretty frustrated with having to reboot all the time.
Here are my specs if they help:
1600+ XP processor
Soyo Dragon Plus
Gainward Gf3 Ti 200 video card
TDK VeloCD burner
256mb Micron memory
15gb WD hd

Please give me some info. Thanks!

Remove the promise raid controller and run the HD on the standard IDE controller and see if the problem still occurs..

the nv4_disp infinite loop bug is pretty infamous... I haven't heard of a true fix for it, but people have different luck with different versions of detonators. the latest set (27.10) seems to have less users complaining of the bug, but it still exists for some.
