Random Reboots on new HTPC

My new HTPC is working properly for the most part, but I am experiencing random reboots. I can be watching a show, or just a minute ago, I heard it reboot from the other room.

Is this likely to be a power supply issue? I am using a Netgear... I think its WG111... USB Network adapter, and it has given me problems when I used it temporarily with my previous HTPC. I suppose I will take it off and see how things go...

Also, I am using a processor that is lower than recommended, a 1200MHz Duron. I wouldn't think that would cause reboots, would it?

And the Power Supply is a Mad Dog one from CompUSA. I am supposing that is the most likely cause? I wish I had another to test...

The motherboard is an AN35N Ultra and I am using 512MB of RAM (have tried different RAM previously). The video card is a Radeon 9550. Previously I used a 9000 which didn't work too well.

Are there minidump files in c:\windows\minidump? If so, update ALL of your drivers for ALL of your hardware, do ALL Windows updates, and if you still have these reboots, send me the last few (by date) minidumps plus MPSReports output (yourcomputername.cab) - see my .sig for the details.
 
There are a bunch of files in that directory, about 11. I will try and update drivers now and see if there are still issues. I will update EVERYTHING. I also have a new processor to install, and while I'm doing it, I may swap out the motherboard for one that is exactly the same that I have sitting around...

Could it likely be a hardware problem with the motherboard?

Allright, I updated drivers for everything but the video card (because it was just installed and the issue was around before it was installed). I updated drivers for the WG111 USB adapter, the ATI E-Home Wonder Tuner, and the Nvidia Motherboard Driver package.

No random reboots yet, but we shall see...

Without looking at the dumps the best I could do is speculate, and I'm not big on speculation. Let's do all the driver updates and *Windows Updates* too, then let's look at any dumps generated *after* that point in time. Also run MPSReports - AFTER you do all the other stuff.

Good. You did all Windows updates too?
 
do you have your system set to shutdown at certain high temps? I would think heat might be an issue, so check your bios settings
 
Actually, at that point I didn't do the Windows Updates, but I did them right after I posted. I don't believe there were any critical updates, but I downloaded EVERYTHING, including optional updates just incase.

I haven't had much time to play with it hardly at all, but yesterday I had to reboot to make my audio work. I am using the same type of USB Onkyo audio device that I am using on my other HTPC and have never had that type of problem.

I do intend to heavily use it and run some stress tests over this weekend and I will report back with what you have requested if there are still problems.

Also, I do not believe that I have system shutdown at high temps, but also I don't think the processor was that hot. The new processor I have installed is an XP Mobile 2600+, and I am running it at stock speeds (but at 400MHz FSB instead of 266), and at 1.45v. The previous Duron was 1.2 GHz and running at 1.5v. It also ran ok at lower voltages, but I kept it at stock so it wouldn't be causing an issue. However, any advice is good advice, so I will double check that that is not an issue.

OK, now that you've done all the driver and Windows updates, let's take a look at any dumps - give me a zipfile with the dumps generated after you did all updates, and also give me MPSReports (it will be a file called mycomputername.cab) for your computer. See my .sig for full details.
