Random Rebooting

System:

Seagate Barracuda 60GB hd
Visiontek GeForce3
sony floppy drive
liteon dvd-rom ltd163
liteon cdrw ltr-24102b
2 netgear fa310tx ethernet adapters
AMD Athlon XP 1800
sound blaster audigy
abit kr7a-raid
1 gb pc2100 ddr ram (4 x 256 mb crucial)

Problem: Running Windows XP and getting random reboots at random times. System justs reboots itself whenever it wants it seems, sometimes starts up with a blue screen error but rebooting again seems to fix that. No common time when it reboots and not using a certain program when it reboots, different every time, sometimes reboots right after it starts up.

If it matters I'm using nvidia 23.11 drivers and beta audigy drivers v5.12.01.0134-1.20.0030 , had problems with audigy in xp with the native drivers and it wouldn't let me use creative's updates, but those seem to fix it, not sure if those are leading to a new problem.

Also if it matters my IDE setup is ide1-master:seagate 60gb ; ide2-master:liteon dvd slave:liteon cdrw

thanks

I disabled reboot on error and the error message with the BSOD is BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO ... no idea what that means but after a few reboots it goes away and boots fine again.

thanks

another message it said was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ... if anyone knows what that means also

thanks

I got the IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL error many times on my system i'm trying to fix now - i'd be interested to know if anyone knows what it means.

Not sure exactly what the messages are....but a coupla problems could be:

1. CPU overheating
2. Hard drive overheating
3. Hard drive bad sectors
