1) can you boot from a win98 1st edition cd? (so is that a good way to tell the edition?)

2) if i hit shift 5 times in winxp pro, "sticky keys" comes up. i didn't understand what that was. can anyone explain?

3) vmm32.dll - i get this error alot after installing win98. "windows protection fault due to vmm32.dll" is this a problem w/ the hdd cause the "page file" isn't working right? or what's the deal??

i'd appreciate any help

it is a "feature" for people who have a hard time holding down the shift/ctrl/alt/windows keys, when sticky keys is enabled when you press one of those keys it remains active until you hit any key other than the aforementioned keys. it is there if you cant figure out how/are unable to hold down more than 1 key at a time.
