Random Question: Best place to buy a sewing machine

just make sure a used one works, then that is probably a good deal

otherwise, walmart/costco/sam's

Pawn shop?

My mom quilts and makes clothes, and she says even the $1,000 ones made today are only of medium quality. The companies put in extra features like auto-stitching text and shapes, rather than concentrating on the quality of the basic stitching. But I've just listened to her rant, I know nothing about them myself.

So, you figured a computer forum on a Friday night would be a good place to ask this question? 😕

I was about to say exactly that. Why don't you ask your grand-mother or something?

Too bad you dont live closer to me... I bought one earlier this year... it was on sale. I got it home, opened it up... couldnt figure out how to thread the bobbin and put everything back in the box. . It has been sitting on the shelf ever since.

Serioulsly... go to WalMart. They are not the state of the art machines that people spend thousands are, but they have good machines at exellent prices.

🙂
