So randomly when I post a '?' sometimes, but not always, it will immediately go to the line below. I can delete it and try to put it right after the last word but the '?' will always basically do an enter and insert the '?' one line below. Not always but sometimes.

Ah, randomly sometimes. Initial troubleshooting I would do:

Can you narrow it down to performing the procedure in one program or does it happen anywhere?

If a web browser, can you go to google.com, and type "?" over and over to see if it engages the Search button, in the same way pressing the Return key would?

Failing that, I would try a different keyboard, or try testing individual keys with a program designed for such.

It does it in Chrome and I just tested Word out and it does it there too.

going to Google.com the search bar is in the middle, when I type a ? the search bar goes to the upper left corner of the page, with a ? in it. typing more ? just results in more ? in the search bar

that whole sentence I wrote above it didn't do it once. go figure.

i'll have to order a cheap keyboard to test. this is an expensive Logitech G910, certainly not buying another.

Oh, sorry, I assumed you might have one. Yeah, just get one and return it afterwards.

Random scan code errors usually come from the keyboard, not the OS.

That's good to know because I'm in no mood to reinstall windows. Bad to know because this $100 keyboard lasted less than a week after turning a year old. Let's see how Logitech customer service is these days. They used to be very good.

Been using the new keyboard for a day and so far so good.

Emailed Logitech yesterday and am awaiting their response.

I have had something like this happen to me and it was indeed the keyboard.
