The common denominator is that they are all Republicans, and Republicans are baaaaaad baaaaaad people.

The only irony I see is that Dems are no better. Both parties are filled with liars, cheats and crooks.

Gonzales is famous for replying "I don't recall" when asked about information about damn near anything...

Some moron has to type "it isn't irony" in every thread that ever uses the word irony. Just stop it please.

That's not moronic at all.

Sure it is.

The thing is I know that (WashPost's RSS feed always goes down), you know that (apparently), but they don't seem to know it;)

(A) Irony has many definitions. And most of the time irony is used, it IS the proper usage (even many times if it is a coincidence). The people who shout "that isn't irony" almost always only use one of its dozen definitions. Thus, it is moronic because they are incorrect.

(B) It is annoying and overplayed. It is just as moronic as saying FIRST on many threads (see here). Just because a thread has been created, doesn't mean it needs a FIRST poster. Just because a thread uses the word "irony" (correctly or incorrectly) doesn't mean it needs a "that isn't irony" poster.

the only possible way in which this is ironic is the situation that Goosemaster described, and that's a HUGE stretch (though kinda brilliant). however, that's dramatic irony and there's about a 0% chance that the OP intended to point out this form of irony

the annoying and overplayed part is that 90% of the world no longer understands the meaning of a word. let's ditch dictionaries and instead depend on ex-Nickelodeon stars to define words for us!
