Random freeze ups while playing CoD

Just as the title says....

System:

AMD 2500 Barton stock speeds
ASUS A7N8XE-Deluxe
1 512 of XMS Corsair PC3200
1 512 Value ram PC3200
Maxtor Ultra series 250gig
Radeon 9800Pro

I'll be in the menu screen and it will freeze up.......what could be wrong....heat????

What are you temperatures? What power supply are you using (brand/model)?

you got the updates and current drivers? CoD2 is out soon I think

Well at idle i'm running 44C and my case is 26C says MBM5.......not to sure what load and gaming temps are. I'll look when i reboot next. My PSU is an Antec SL300S

Update all the computer's graphics/sound drivers and direct X and game updates.

Also, Have you tried clearing the program through the firewall? I will get lockups sometimes as a program tries to access the interent.

Yeah i think that was it.......i just downloaded the Omega drivers for the 9800's
