I got FarCry for Christmas and installed it that day and it started then. Like I would be loading a new checkpoint and it just crash, no reason just crash. Most notably would be when I would be loading the first level of the Carrier it would finishing loading then *boom* hey look at I'm back at my desktop. It does it every now and then, and also just most recently when I was on the last part of the Carrier level (on the top trying to get to the boat) I would be playing then it would just lock up...and like 20 seconds later it would start up again. Then, eventually my monitor just cut out all together, not sure if that is FarCry related but my LCD would just pop up with the 'No Signal' thingy and just cut out...A restart fixed it, but that's very annoying.

Anyone have any clue as to what could be causeing this? PC is in sig, also the game is patched to 1.3, thanks.

So that 9800 PRO still overclocked? Might want to put it back to the default settings. But before doing that, you did install your latest drivers for your Sound, Video, and mobo (chipset), right?

I assume you've tried everything at stock speeds?

If you have make sure you're running version 1.3 of the game.

Sorry, the OC in my Sig is just the max I found for it, I usually run it at XT speeds (412/365), tired it with that OC and I get artifacts. Pretty sure on sound driver that it's the latest, Video I'm using 4.11 Cat drivers and chipset I'm not sure.

How would I go about finding what version they are and how to update them?

checked the drivers and the ones that came with the mobo are newer than any listed on epox's website, so yea i'd say they are the newest.

EDIT: and yes I'm running version 1.3 of the game.

...you also might want to try installing and older version of a newer version (beta) of drivers from nvidia.

It was, from 2.2 to 2.3, I put it back to stock and it has been fine since then...so maybe that was the culprit.
