My internet is quite slow, msn and aim randomly logs out.

I dont know what happened but, my dad bought a netgear wireless router and he hooked my internet up and this is probably where it started happening. Pages wouldnt load and you need to refresh heaps of times to see it fully etc.

So I got rid of the router and then put it back to the way it used to be, but still the same problem.

I am on optus cable internet and I use firefox. I've scanned for viruses and spyware etc but just some tracking cookies came up.

Please help me out here, It is so frustrating.

Many tests out there for you to run, it would be hard to diagnose the problem without some more information on what is going on.

try updating your OS to service pack 2

also, update all your drivers

turn your router/modem's power button on, then off for a few seconds, sometimes you have to restart you computer after this process

check with your ISP company, because it may be a software issure on their part, don't always assume you're going to get the best connections by doing nothing
