Random crazy person keeps texting me

So, for the past 4 mornings, a complete stranger has been sending me a bunch of random, slightly creepy picture texts. I have no idea why he/she is doing this. I don't know anyone from the area code and I'm no where near where the locations shown in the pictures. Here's a small sampling of what I've been getting:

At first I thought it was a wrong number, so on the second morning I told him he has a wrong number. This is how he responded (none of these quotes have been altered in any way):
SORRY, YOU HAVE BEEN RANDONALLY SELECTED, BY THIS ORGANIZATION, TO RECIEVE PICTURES, FOR A YEAR FREE, I'AM ISREALI, MY NAME IS FANZY MOHAMOND, I'AM FRON LAKE CHARLES, LOUISANA, AND ON WEDNESDAY, I'AM GOING TO CLARKSBURG, TENNESSEE.

All of his communications have been similarly incoherent. When I asked him to stop the first time, I got this:
MISS, LET ME TELL YOU A STORY. THERE WAS THIS HOMELESS MAN, WITH A CELLULAPHONE, HE STARTED GETTING THREATING PHONE CALLS, FROM A PERSON UNKNOWN TO HIM, ONE NIGHT, THE HOMELESS MAN, WAS WALKING THOUGH A ALLEY, 3 BLACK GUYS, CAME UP TO HIM, DEMENDED HIM TO GIVE THEM MONEY, HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY, SO THEY JUMPED HIM, THE ONLY THING THEY STOLE WAS A GOLD WATCH, TO FIND OUT THOUGH THE POLICE REPORT AND THE ARREST OF THE 3, THEY'RE THE ONE'S THAT WAS GIVING THE HOMELESS MAN, THE HARRASHMENT PHONE CALLS, CAME FROM, THIS HOW THIS GANG, FINDS THERE VICTINS, THIS HOMELESS PERSON, IS MY BROTHER, HE DIED THAT NIGHT, THE CITY, WAS OMAHA, WE BEG YOU, AS A ORGANIZATION, WRITE A LETTER TO YOUR CONGRESSMAN, AND MAKE A PROPOSAL, OF A CYBER SPACE LAW, SO EVERYBODY WILL BE PROTECTED, FEDERALLY NOT A STATE LAW. I don't have unlimited texts, so this was getting quite annoying. I thought threatening to call the police would get this guy to shut up, I guess not. In fact, he became quite angry (I have a Texas area code, but I'm at school in NY right now)...:
GUEST WHAT AMERICAN SHIT, WE'RE NOT IN TEXAS, WE'RE IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND BY TOMORROW, WE'RE LEAVING WESTERN KENTUCKY, GOING TO ANOTHER STATE. At this point, I'm guessing this is just some punk kid trolling me. I've called ATT about blocking the number, which they said they'll gladly do, for a $5 a month fee! Besides paying the $5, anyone have any ideas for shutting this guy up? I've made a Google Voice account to spam this guy back (I've been sending him chapters of War and Peace), but I'm up for more hilarious suggestions.

Also, his phone number is 501-276-3*** if you want to investigate.

I say make a fucking facebook page or something and make it viral and get every "American Shit" to text him into oblivion.
 
BTW the number is from Arkansas originally....SWBell, which is basically AT&T. I'd say call AT&T and complain about the number but don't tell them you're a customer. Tell them one of their customers is sending you threatening text messages and that they better take care of it or you will sue them into oblivion.

And if this is the OP's exgf he's stalking and harassing and has posted the number here with a bogus story, Anandtech is being put at risk for a lawsuit. We have no proof that the OP's tale of woe is true, and harassing someone over the phone (while a bad idea anyway) is especially stupid if you don't know for a fact who's on the other line.
 
Southwestern Bell Wireless Llc-A is the carrier. Start by calling them.

He/she is in Hot Springs, AR in Garland County. Can get any more info for you right now as I am lazy at the moment.

This would be a very roundabout way of doing that. Just all the pictures I'd have to take and text to myself would be ridiculous. Anyways, I'll go ahead and take the number down since I've gotten some useful suggestions.

Also, I'm not going to send him anything inappropriate, since there's a good chance this is a kid. I just want to get his attention away from my real phone number for now.

We've had members create second accounts and fictitious personalities with tens of thousands of posts, so roundabout and unlikely don't always go hand in hand. 🙂

if you can somehow find his address through the telephone number, I recommend sending him a box of rabies.

Yeah, second this. Call the person's carrier and forward them the texts you've been receiving from this douche. Police probably can't do much...
