This is just an annoying problem, which has never happened to me before.
The problem is that when I open up applications or use some very small amount of multitasking, the computer will stutter. Mouse, sound, and the whole computer will just stop, and regain itself in a millisecond. While it's not that big of a deal besides the fact that I listen to music a fair amount of time on the computer, I just think it shouldn't be a problem with my new PC specs.
I JUST got a new Pentium4/Abit IS7-E/512mb GeiLPC-4000 RAM... this shouldn't be a problem with CPU/MEM specs, and as well my CPU load (on both simulated processors) never really peaks beyond 40% even when running everything I need.
I'm beginning to think perhaps it's the hard drive, but it seems to be in fair operating condition.
Is there a magical setting somewhere that could fix this dilema?
Thanks in advance
