Random BSOD crashes w/ Vista Ultimate 64

Ok...

A couple of weeks ago, I did a fresh install of Vista and was getting random BSOD's that possibly pointed the finger at a bad HDD.

So I bought a new one and reinstalled everything. Everything has been fine until yesterday. I got a "Bad Pool Caller" bsod, but hadn't adjusted the settings so that it would wait for me to reboot, so no data other than that.

Then today, I god a Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal Stop: 0x000000D1 (give or take a 0), ndis.sys and date stamp: 4791A99.

I also have the mini dump from that crash, but it's greek to me and I was hoping that someone might be able to help.

Also, I run 4 monitors and have been having an issue w/ Ultramon in that one of my monitors goes kinda wonky when it comes back from a screen saver over night etc. So I would think it's a video driver, but I'm running the latest nvidia one (182.50).

I have a Q6600, 8G Ram, 3 HDD's (not raid), a 8800GT and a 8600GT video cards.

I can provide more info if needed...I'm thinking of rolling back the driver to one or two previous versions and if that doesn't work, buy a new NIC card...thoughts?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the link to the mini dump file: Minidump file @ megaupload.

eta: I have run a full system scan w/ my AV (avira pro), spybot, as well as malwarebytes (full system scan) and all have come back clean as a whistle.

Are you overclocking? I would run memtest to see if there are memory problems. Also you could try resetting your BIOS and see if it has any newer BIOS. Are you using the right chipset - video drivers?

Not overclocking...i'll try memtest today. I also flashed my bios a couple of weeks ago when I reinstalled windows and yes all chipset and video drivers are correct.

Assuming that memtest runs ok, would you recommend just buying a new NIC card and using it instead of the one on my mobo?

If you suspect the onboard network chip try disabling it and see if it helps on the bsod problem minus it not connecting to your network.

I wouldn't know...I mean, they are completely random and sometimes only happen once a week, sometimes x3 a day...so that wouldn't work 🙁

When did the problems begin? Was it prior to the reinstall. Did you install any new hardware that maybe causing a problem?

No new hardware...just wanted to 'start fresh' with the reinstall of Windows.

That said, I had to reinstall Vista twice, because about 3-4 days after I first re-installed, I was getting a ton of BSOD's and thought it was just a bad install of Windows. But it's been about 2-3 weeks since I re-installed and no issues, until yesterday....
