Running for political office unfortunately does require such large amounts of cash. The federal government has already spent far more than four million dollars in the name of "freedom", without much to show for it.

$4M? On what, daresay? And I have no delusions about how much cash you need to run for office, just don't pretend like it's going for the "defense of freedom." Frankly, it comes off as incredibly stupid and pandering to certain political extremes.

Go Rand Go. With luck Rand can split the GOP vote and we will get a democratic GOP KY senator. That alone will so thrill Mitch McConnell who really needs something to be thrilled about.

Do you know how elections work? Obviously not.

He's running the in republican primary. Anybody that would vote for him will vote for Trey Greyson in the senate election if Paul happens to lose the primary. So what do you mean "split the GOP vote"?

...unless he runs as a third-party candidate

But he's not. He's running in the republican primary.

Wait...how did that happen?

If you'll recall, there was some worry (or hope within the Ron Paul ranks) that after losing the Republican primary, he might consider a run as a third party candidate. Rand certainly isn't his father, but I'd say there's a possibility

Is there anything in particular among Rand Paul's positions that you take issue with?

Here's a little hint: We already have liberty and freedom and no one (in this country, at least) is threatening either. Stop pretending like they are. It only reinforces your paranoid delusional state of mind.
We aren't as bad off by any reasonable measure, but some countries are doing better. While that apparently doesn't bother you, I'd much prefer we work work towards being #1.

All interviews I've heard with him and before he threw his hat in the ring were he was running in the republican primary.

Are Kentucky's election laws more like Pennsylvania or Connecticut?

I heard him talk not too long again. Seems to be a good bit like his dad minus a lot of the portions that would push him in most minds to the eccentric side.

I don't really know as I don't know those states. We have primaries and filing regulations to put your hat into the ring, AFAIK you can file to run in the election without any primary election.

Primary doesn't = election.
