Rand Paul Mistakenly Claims Coal Is Kentucky's Biggest Industry
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) criticized actress, activist and potential Democratic candidate Ashley Judd Wednesday, calling her "way damn too liberal" for Kentucky because of her opposition to mountaintop removal mining.
"She hates our biggest industry, which is coal," Paul said. "I say, good luck bringing the 'I hate coal' message to Kentucky."
Now I get it that Rand Paul is the son of an idiot but even this goes to far for an idiot. Its not just that he's wrong, its how wrong he is.
Coal isn't the biggest industry in Kentucky.
Its not the second biggest, or the third or the fourth or the fifth or the sixth, etc.
Coal is the thirteenth biggest industry in Kentucky. Yes, the 13th. And the number one industry in Kentucky is manufacturing.
Based on the lack of such fundamental knowledge of his owns states economy I would expect Rand Paul to resign and apologize to the people of Kentucky for being clearly unqualified.
