I feel really bad about it! It literally ran out so fast i didn't have time to brake, went under my car pretty much square in the middle, i felt it hit the back tire, but when i looked in my side mirror it was running again. I'm guessing its pretty badly hurt right now, i hit it hard enough for me and the passenger to feel the car jolt so it must have been pretty hard! Poor thing..

Please tell me you at least had the balls to get your sorry @$$ out of the car, make an attempt to find the cat, and contact the owner on the tag, if there? Otherwise, bring it to a local vet or something.

Ummm... I don't think it could have lived if you hit it with a tire.

It probably ran into the tire when it was trying to run out from under the car

Don't feel bad, on a stretch of road near my house there are woods that are infested with strays. I must have run over 10 or 12 by now. They're constantly darting between the woods and the low class apartments. If they cared about their cat, they wouldn't be letting it run outside because these kinds of things happen.

It ran, i stopped, got out and looked back, and it was gone. Didn't think there was anything else i could do.

Well thats what i thought at first, expected to see a dead cat behind me, but what i'm thinking happened is the back half of its body hit the tire and it bounced off or something, it didnt go under but there was a definate bump. I wasn't going fast, 20-25 or so.

Poor things.. You could say that you think they'd learn not to run in the road, but alot of them don't get a second chance to learn that.

Hahaha. No, just a discussion!

If you believe in Karma Jahee, then you're going to be reincarnated as a cat and he/she will be posing about running over you! ;)

What's up with calling him a sorry ass? That isn't very nice.

I doubt it's dead if it ran into the tire rather than gotten ran over by it. Probably just got its' bell rung.

Well if it was hard enough to jolt the car, i'd say it was more than a ring! :p

It's a cat; in PA there's no law that says you have to stop if you hit a cat :p.

My sister ran over a kitten once. When she looked back she said it was flopping around like that too. It was a stray sleeping on top of one of her back tires. Didn't even see the little thing before driving off. She was crying about it later that day.

At least you are thinking about it with remorse.
Not like the jackass who aimed his car at some turkey walking across Blue Ravine Rd in Folsom a few weeks back.
I was coming the other way and he went back into his ;lane and was laughing as we passed. :(

That's too bad, but people shouldn't let their animals run loose. Animals don't know better. They live off instinct, not reason.

I happen to love cats, but I can't blame you for this.

When I was a kid, a cat hit my dad's car. It ran out and bounced off the hub cap, and then ran back the other way. Oh how we laughed...
