I ran CCleaner on my dad's computer which is running Windows 7 and it removed a bunch of crap. Now some websites are screwed up in Firefox. I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode and resetting the settings and did not help. I also tried to reinstall Firefox and did not help. The websites work fine on Internet Explorer. Well crap, I was going to post a screenshot of a website but I can't click any of the buttons up top while posting this message.

Yes I did uninstall Firefox before reinstalling. I have not tried system restore yet. I would be worried about losing any files. I know you are not supposed to lose anything with system restore but I don't understand how system restore works. How can you go back days earlier and not lose anything? If I can't find another solution, I will use system restore.

According to that link, his computer is not affected. How do you use the restore function for CCleaner? I found the restore points that Windows has made but nothing else.

Also when you uninstall Firefox you have to delete the profiles and user data along with it, otherwise you aren't really reinstalling it.

What, exactly is screwed up on those websites?

Also, which ccCleaner tools did you run? Did you do a registry clean? Did you remove plugins like Acrobat?

Did you do anything else beside ccCleaner runs?

Now some websites are screwed up in Firefox. I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode and resetting the settings and did not help. .

Everything seems to be back to normal now. The first time I uninstalled Firefox, I did not delete the profiles.

Here is what one of the websites looked like:

I did not do a registry cleaner, I just did the first option and it found a bunch of stuff, 5000mb's worth.
