Sickamore, I installed the Silver Arrow this morning. Man is this thing big!! I could not get it installed with the outside fan over the memory. My Corsair memory stuck up way too high so I had to install it with the outside fan in the back near the rear case fan so it pushes from the inside fan to the outside fan where it pulls the hot air toward the rear case fan. It's only been on for a few minutes and I can tell you it is extremely quiet. Too early to get real temps yet but the preliminary temps are lower. I like this cooler but will probably not buy another for my other machine. Just way too big. I probably should never say never.
 
Yeah i was going to buy the dominator but rifttuf told me not to because i would get that problem you having. I heard it out performs the noctua in noise and keeping the cpu cool
