Bring it on!!!!

We need him, another starter and a real 2nd baseman.

Justice, O'Neill, and Spencer can service left field. Brosius is a good defender and we have Nick Johnson as a 1B prospect, but could squeeze another year out of Tino. Also have Soriano in the minors.

Yeah, Nick Johnson will be brought up this season and let him get a feel of the majors while playing here and there. Then next season he'll be starting.

Actually I was just reading some more at ESPN, and it seems we've re-signed Paulie. I wonder how that situation is going to work out now.

By the way I was just joking. I can say whatever I want, I don't give a f*ck what Howard Stern says.

Man I can't tell you how much I hate that team. First off, they by their team every year. Hmmm, we have no need for 3 quality LF'ers/DH's, but lets sign them anyways! Hey look, Neagle, get him!

And they're so freakn' lucky I can't stand it. Every year in the playoffs they get all the breaks.

Grrrrr die Yankees DIE!

And the only good player they've pulled out of their farm system in the last 5 years is Jeeter...another reason why I hate them.

Frog Dog:

I disagree somewhat. Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Posada, Mariano Riveria, Mendoza, Ricky Ledee (traded in part for Justice) all came up through the FARM SYSTEM. Other prospects (Drew Henson) were traded away for players. Really the core of the team is HOME GROWN.

BTW: You don't win 3 titles in a row with lick.

Williams came up about 8 years ago, Rivera maybe in the last 5, maybe not, Mendoza and Ledee are not all that great, not yet atleast. And I'll give you Posada, he had a good year.

<< Other prospects (Drew Henson) were traded away for players >>

That's another thing, if they don't think a player is going to be a superstar right away, they know they can just trade him away for someone who is a superstar now because they have the $.

Oh cry me a river. Take your whining to Bud Selig, tell him to implement a salary cap, then you can complain.

George has got the cash, might as well give it to the players rather than have it sitting in his bank account.

<< Hey look, Neagle, get him! >>

In case you missed a transaction during the season, we didn't GET Neagle, we TRADED for Neagle.

Let me name some players, maybe you will recognize them: Bernie Williams, Andy Pettite, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera. Do any of them sound familiar?

Keep your eye on Alfonse Soriano and Nick Johnson. The Yankees kept these TOP prospects and expect big things from them.

The last five years? Those core guys are so good who is going to supplant them? Did we say that about the Bulls? They made a great pick with Jordan (and Pippen) and road them for 6 titles.

Free agency is part but the Yankees built this team from within and are reaping the benefits.

Screw Ramirez. The Yankees, or who ever else, can have him. He's good, but he's not $200M good. No one is. And for 10 years?! C'mon, he'll be 35 years old by then. And how about being faithful to your team, city, and fans. Ramirez has said over and over that he wants to stay in Cleveland. Bullshit! Obviously $119M over 7 years wasn't enough to keep that love affair alive. Maybe the Indians can take that money and finally get some pitching. . . nah, that won't happen.
