I just read an article that if you're broke, buy ramen from walmart but:
For your health, stay away from the flavor packets, Ferguson recommends. “The packet contains a lot of MSG. Instead, I recommend you flavor it with salt, pepper and use broth or bouillon cubes.

the only reason I buy ramen noodle at walmart/Costco is for the favorable spice packet!
without he packet, it's just expensive spaghetti.

discuss...

I was just discussing with a friend of mine tonight, about one of my inventive "ideas" - "Boil in bag Microwave Spaghetti".

Edit: And if you're truly broke, consider supplementing your Ramen noodles, with a loaf or two of cheap bread, and PB&J. Another budget staple, but at least there's protein in it. I don't think Ramen contains much protein.

Yeah I started eating a bowl of ramen without the flavor packet with only garlic powder and black pepper, and it was rather blahhh. Ramen really does need the packet.

I doubt MSG is actually all that bad as some folks say it is.

Bacon is also better for you if you fry it up, take a good deep inhale of that glorious bacon smell and then throw it in the fucking garbage without eating a single bite.

A bit of bacon now and then never hurt anyone.

Why would you have bacon on a veggie patty? That defeats the entire point of eating a meat-less burger.
But... it's SOOO "ironic"... and SOOO delicious.

Edit: Aren't some of us, allow to eat what tastes good, without being asked to "value signal" in this modern society?

I'm not asking you to Virtue Single, I just find that to be strange to eat the combo.

Spaghetti takes a lot longer to cook compared to instant noodle. Stop calling it ramen, that is a different dish.

Lol they are proprietary mixes. MSG, some bullion powder, garlic, dried scallion and many more. Just ask the dum dums not using seasoning packs to give them to you.

Plus nothing says you have to use all of the spice pack ... I usually go with 1/2 or less although its still a crap-ton of sodium.

I have never known or heard of people eating instant ramen without the spice packet.
