I built a computer based on a system showcased here about a year or so ago.

p4 2.8
1gig RAMBUS pc1066
ASUS mb

When I got the system the memory that I got turned out to be pc800 so I sent it back and got pc1066. Ever since I have been having problems with random program crashes and reboots. At 1st I thought that I had a faulty driver or something, so I zero'd my HDD with DiskKill and then reinstalled windows XP. I haven't installed any other software yet but I am still having problems. My IE randomly shuts down. So, I this point I think that it must be my memory. The problem is that I have the original rambus (i.e. has to be in pairs) so I have 4 256mb sticks and I am not sure what I did with the blank RIMMs so I can't really take em out and play the trial and error game. Last time I looked I couldn't find a program to test the memory sticks. Anyone know of any?

ok, i'll try it. I put the system together when rambus was fairly new, maybe they just werent up to date on the updates.

Pre-compiled bootable iso will make a bootable cd

Pre-compiled package for floppy will create bootable for floppy.

Use either one depending on your needs.

HMMM, I used one of them and 2 min into the test I got 70+ errors so I "esc" out. I guess I will look into getting new memory. I really hope this is the problem since pc1066 memry is very hard to find now. 800 is pretty easy though.
