RAM ?

I am in the process of upgrading my system and have already purchased the RAM and it is here. My question is this...my current system is an old LX based motherboard(ABIT LX6) with a PII 333 on it. As such it runs at 66mhz and thus uses 66mhz memory. The memory I purchased for my nex system is PC133 RAM and I was wondering if it is ok to put it in the old system until I get the rest of the parts in? The memory is Siemens CAS2 that I purchased from Mushkin. I'm assuming that running this RAM in an old motherboard wouldn't be a problem but I've been told not so by 2 people and that it is in fact ok by 3 others. HELP????

Thanks!

It will work fine on your abit board and just about any other board. People who have problems are the ones who own proprietary oem boards ie HP
