Okay what is CAS latency and what does it do? Besides the difference in memory which of the above memories is better and why?

Here is what my system is tentatively going to be:
Antec Sonata case with 380W Power supply -Already bought
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum MoBo Socket 939
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 939
SAMSUNG 160GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
NEC 16X Double Layer DVD±RW Drive - Already Bought
Logitech X-620 6.1 Speaker
CHAINTECH 7.1 Channel PCI Sound Card

Well I have never done it. And I am still deciding that because if I decide to I am going to get the AMD athlon 64 3000+ if not then 3200+ winchester. But lets just assum I am going to overclock . . .

I would go with the first one, not because of the lower latency's, but because it's twice the memory, for only $25 more..$110 for 512MB, or $135 for 1Gig, I would definatly get the 1Gig.
