Should i upgrade from my 4 sticks of kingston value ram (667mhz 5-5-5-15 1.8v stock) which i have running at 3-4-4-12-1T 2.1v to a 2x2gb 800mhz kit (5-5-5-18 1.8v) ? The kit is gona cost me ~85bucks canadian which i think is a pretty good deal for 4gb (i paid 180cad for my 4 sticks last year). It leaves me running with 2 sticks instead of 4, with the possibility of going to 8gb in the future if needed. thanks for the help in advance.

thanks for the replies. n7, the first link you gave me was actually the ram i was looking at (from my local store memory express, not old enough to have a credit card yet, so i probably have to pick it up from there with a price match), but i also saw the mushkin hp-2, which has slighty lower timings (5-4-4-12) but with the same 1.8v (it seems like very nice timings for a 2gb stick on 1.8v). Would you think the hp-2 is worth the extra cost? TD direct has them for 87.05cad ( http://www.tddirect.ca/products/129755/MUSHKIN/996587/ ), which i think i might be able to get memory express to match, then use the 15cad MIR on top if possible.

Personally, yes, i'd be looking at the Mushkin HP2 kit in that price range.
5-4-4 DDR2-800 1.8V is very good; that kit has lots of OCing headroom if you like tweaking.

Mushkin forums will set you up with all the timings & settings for basic to advanced OCing as well if you post there.

Good luck with pricematching at MemoryExpress though.

The one in Edmonton has a fit if i dare mention such a thing to them, or at least the last few times.
