Ram Up-Grade

QVL is not exhaustive. The manufacturer does not test every single model of ram out there. However, the ram you listed is likely to work just fine.

BTW, the ram you listed is a triple-channel set. Now, it'll work just fine, but the mobo has 4 slots for memory. If you're planning to add the new set in addition to the current set, you'll have an extra stick of ram left over.

Don't worry about the list of qualified RAM types for your motherboard too much. Anything made from a reputable brand will work fine.

On Intel Core i series motherboards, you need to make sure that the RAM rated voltage is 1.65V or less (1.5V or less is recommended since that's the default voltage), but not on AMD, because the RAM controller is not as sensitive to higher voltages. Still, if you want to buy RAM that's future proof, get something that takes 1.65V or less, which is anything that's not over a year old.

I've used different sets of G.Skill DDR3 in Intel and AMD mobos (M4A and P7P / P8P series) with zero problems.

I propose following two but which better and safe for ASUS M4A88TD-M EVO/USB3

Gskill DDR-III 8GB Kit Desktop Ram - Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
Gskill DDR-III 8GB Kit Desktop Ram - Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

I am asking this becouse this MOBO very sensitive to memory and often goes to BSOD.
