Ram Timings

I'm running a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ with a Chaintech vnf3-250. The memory I'm using is A-Data pc4000 512mb(Single Stick).

The timings are set at a conservative 3-4-4-8. I was wondering if I could get any signifcant performance gains if I were to lower them, since I'm currently only running at 200 fsb. As in a noticable improvement in frames per second or loading times. Also, what happens if you set your raming timings too low?
 
This begs the obvious question, why don't you fire up a game yourself and test it?

Many games show a 5-7% boost going from CL 3 to CL 2, but probably won't get too much extra performance out of generic memory.
 
Tom's article on this from January showed at most a 4% boost going from CL 3 to CL 2 on an Athlon 64. There was a bigger boost for Pentium 4 systems (or a bigger loss, depending on how you look at it). If the RAM is rated for it, you might as well run it faster, although I think I fried a stick of PC133 years ago running it at CL-2 rather than it's rated 3. Or maybe it was just bad to begin with.
