Has anyone ever done benchmarks where the only change was ram timings? Try them at "relaxed" timings and then at "aggressive" timings and see what the benefit trully is. I see all this talk of people always recommending certain timings, telling people they should get better ram because they can't reach certain timings, and explaining the theory behind why it will work better but no real world proof.
Kind of reminds me how people are always recommending AS3, treating it as if its god's gift to man, and explaining why theoretically its much better but then a comparison of many thermal compounds comes out and AS3 does 1ºC better in most cases and only 2ºC better in one case (when compared to regular silicon grease).
