I have a desktop with an Intel CPU and I currently use it mostly to browse the web. I'm eventually going to add a graphics card to play games, but first I'm going to add RAM.

There are two RAM slots. One has an 8 GB DDR3L 1600 MHz which was there when I bought the PC. The other is empty. I believe my chipset can only handle RAM up to 1600 MHz but the timings on the stick in there are 11-11-11-28 and there exists RAM in the same frequency with 8-8-8-24 and 9-9-9-24 timings. How much can faster RAM timing affect performance within the same frequency? Should I just get another stick with the same timings as my current one or should I buy two sticks with the fastest timings? (Also, is there much difference in reliability between different RAM vendors?)

If it helps you answer, my PC is an Asus M32CD-US003T, an Intel H110 Express chipset and an i5-6400.
