I'm going to get a new motherboard to put my old 2.4 GHz P4 with a 533 FSB in. I need to know if I can buy PC3200 RAM so that if I want to I can replace the processor with something faster. Do I have to buy PC2700 or will PC3200 work?
 
Higher ram will ALWAYS work with lower CPUs, they will just be downclocked. The only conflict with ram and CPUs is the whole DDR/DDR2 business.
