I was wondering if picking up some ram sinks for my 9600XT would make any noticable difference for gaming? I currently have the ram o/c to 325, 3drage.com got theirs to 345, so i figure with some ram sinks i could go that high as well. Would it be worth it to pick some up and over clock 20mhz or mabye higher? Would i see any noticable differences in fps, smoothness of games?

I play Americas Army, Call of Duty, and currently working on System shock 2 (don't think i need an fps boost for that one)

I would say yes, not only would you have the satisfaction (and the peace of mind) that your RAM is being cooled, but you could push it another 20-25 MHz, provided your case has good airflow to take the heat awat from the sinks.

The satisfaction of knowing your card is at its max performance and still running cool is very great indeed. The difference you may notice should be less stuttering in certain areas of games and a slightly better feel to the movement.

Not worth it unless your case has decent airflow.

Im many cases, Ram sinks increase the temperature in a case where the circulation is bad.

Get the tweakmonster ones if you really want to...

Man are you wrong! Dont get the tweakmonster ones, there are much better and cheaper ramsinks out there which come with thermal tape and perform just as good and if not better than the tweakmonsters. Try Koolance.com or OCZ for some copper ones. Look on Pricewatch or Pricegrabber for the best deals.
