I just got a second stick of 128mb Mushkin Rev1.5 Ram. ( http://www.mushkin.com/cgi-bin/Mush...6a15f7125c27410a0001020571+EN/products/990525 ) I'm removing my budget ram and am going to have 256 MB of Mushkin Rev1.5. I have an MSI K7Pro. The mobo manual says it only supports PC100, so i don't think i can run PC133 ram. The recommended bios settings from mushkin are:
"Under 'Advanced Chipset Features' set:
* Bank x/x DRAM Timing: Normal
* SDRAM Cycle Length: 3T
* DRAM Clock: Hclk + 33M - This setting will run your memory 33% faster
than the FSB. The FSB is set with the CPU Host/PCI Clock option that is
shown below.
* Fast R-W Turnaround: Disabled
* Memory Parity/ECC Check - Disable this unless you order ECC memory.
Under 'Frequency/Voltage Control' set:
* Spread Spectrum Modulated: Disabled
* CPU Host/PCI Clock: 100/33MHz - With this setting set to 100/33MHz, your
memory will be running at 133MHz."
Are these settings just for lots of stability? The ram stats say that it runs at 2:2:2 or CAS2 @133. I want to run it at 2:2:2, but i'm not quite sure what that means(only that it's faster), and i don't know how to configure my bios settings to run it at 2:2:2. Can anyone help me?
