RAM Selection for new system build

I'm building a new gaming rig with a Intel Q6600 and GeForce 8800GTS. I will be running it on Windows Vista Ultimate x64.

I'm thinking 4GB of RAM as 1x4 configuration is my best bet?
The XMS series seems to be well prices (Corsair) Is this a good option?
The standard has a CL=5 but they have a little more expensive stuff with CL=4 which is my best bet for this rig?
