Will I notice a difference from going from 768megs of 2700 to 1gig of 2100, will I be faster or slower?

I have 768mb RAM, it functions like my friends 1 gig, it won't matter unless you really-really need it, otherwise, go with a 1 gig stick.

Well if the front side bus of your processor is 333MHz then you will notice a big difference is speed because your system will slow down installing 1GBs of PC2100. If the FSB of your processor is 266MHz then you will not notice much of an improvement unless you are working with big graphics files.
