I recently bought some ocz performance ram from newegg. It is 2-3-3-6, but it shows up in bios and cpu-z as 2.5. Why is this? this is the only speed newegg sells in the performance series and all the reviews said it ran at CAS 2 expect one who said it showed up like mine as 2.5. What gives? Is there some way to change it in bios? thanks

You can change it in the BIOS. Read your motherboard manual to figure out how.

actually I know how, but when I first got this board started I didn't see a cas 2 option or at least I didn't notice it. What threw me was that cpuz sees this stick as a 2.5 even though it now see that I have it set to cas2.

This ram is overclocked to 220 right now, something I could never do with my kingston hyperx. So far this has been some good ram.

After moving the cas lat down to 2, I ran aquamark and got a slightly worse score. Could it be the tighter timing or the fact that it is about 10 degrees or more warmer than it was the other day when I ran the benchmark?
