I have a 1GB stick and I was wondering if I should upgrade ...

I know 2GB is kind of "unneeded", but would have 2 sticks in dual channel help?

I'm at the order page, it's about $130

if you're thinking about it, there's more than a likly chance that you'll actually need it
 
Well, ram is pretty cheap, so it's not too bad if it doesn't help 😉

It'll help someday... if you don't need faster ram by then hehe.
 
well, seeing how my computer is right now, more RAM would really help

i was thinking of a 512MB stick, but saw the 1GB stick that is similar to the one i have ...

Your gut told you that your system "needs" 2GBs of memory, but it didn't mention anything about SCSI?
I'd get a new gut... :shocked:

BTW, All the cool kids on campus are running a SCSI RAID setup. :laugh:
