ram question

Everything will run at PC2100 and you won't be able to dual channel (you probably wouldn't have been able to do that were they the same stick anyway if it's that old), that's all.
 
but it wont damage anythign right? the reason im doing this is because im waitng for my motehrboard ot be shipped making my new pc a bit useless, so temporarily i put my ocz 512 into my current pc . I just dont want to screw up the ram before i get my mother board.

oh and is just having the 512 stick faster than having the older stick there with it?
