ok . got a question? i plan on buying corsai xms 3700 2x512 for my asus p4c800 deluxe mobo cas latency 3-4-4-8 I heard lower numbers are better .i will be purchasing from new egg.com is their better ones that i should buy as i plan on overclocking and can i find them on new egg?
 
Shoot, I'd rather have PC3200 at 2-2-2-5 than PC4000 at 3-4-4-8. Ram dividers don't hurt the performance of the P4's at all, like they do with our Athlons.
 
That depends on which P4 you'll use. From what I've read plus experience with my setup, 2.8C and higher doesn't OC quite as high. So if you're in that range, there's no reason to pay the extra $$ for anything higher than PC3700. Plus you'll get tighter timings with it anyway. Good thing for me I'll be RMA'ing my current RAM due to a bit of a screwup on the part of Corsair, and I'll replace that with some nice PC3700 OCZ Gold. 😎
