RAM question with server

Would you need ECC in a file server or game server? I was just wondering, because ECC helps aleviate errors in memory.

Personal choice. ECC is extra fault detection/protection. This extra protection costs a little more money and a little less performance. I personally like and use ECC.

ecc is often used in servers, if you want it to never crash its a good idea, otherwise dosent really matter. why not go for it, its like 5-10 bucks more for ecc sdram

That's what I thought too, Kill_Phil. Do any of you know if the VIA KLE133 chipset supports ECC? I wanted to buy a MSI MS-6378 board, because it has integrated graphics and stuff.
