Ram Question, Need Answer ASAP!

I just installed a stick of generic 64mb ram into my Compaq. As I booted up, it registered, but posted a message "Wrong ram size" or something like that. But it loads up all the way, I restart, and no error message. The ram registers into my comp at 124mb (4 mb shared). Is there anything wrong? Or it's fine?

You'll have togo to the bios utility and the message will go away. Or if you don't have it, goto compaq's web page, and under support, and somewhere there you can download a configuration utility for each of their model lines.
